The Dashboard
The Dashboard is your book at a glance. Two filters at the top — Carrier and Period — scope every widget below them. Leave the period blank to see the latest period with data.
Commission owed (recoverable)
The headline, green panel. This is what carriers should have paid you but didn’t: your contracted rate (from Rates) applied to each policy, minus what the carrier actually paid. The positive shortfall, summed across the book, is the recoverable figure.
- The big number is the total owed for the period.
- Below it: coverage — “Expected vs actual across X of Y policies evaluated.” Only policies that have a configured rate (and, for percentage rates, a premium) are evaluated, so we always show how much of the book the number covers.
- Review members opens the results grid filtered to members with a shortfall.
- Set rates / Manage rates jumps to the Rates page.
Estimated vs. confirmed. Before you’ve confirmed a rate, the first statement’s data is used to
auto-estimate one so this number isn’t $0 on day one — and the panel reads “Commission owed
(estimated)” with a “Estimated from your statements — confirm your rate in Manage rates” note.
Confirm your contracted rate and it becomes
the exact, recoverable figure.
Once confirmed, this is the value-prop number: a defensible “you are owed $X” figure, not a guess.
Commission at risk this period
The rose panel. This is month-over-month variance flagged for review — not a final owed amount. It’s the sum of:
- Dropped — the prior commission of members who fell off the book this period (red).
- Reduced — the decrease for members still present but paid less than last period.
The sub-line breaks it down: “$X from N dropped · $Y from M paid less.” Review members opens the results grid pre-filtered to the at-risk members (red and yellow). Use this to catch a carrier that quietly underpaid or dropped members.
The four stat cards
| Card | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Members | Members present this period (green + yellow; excludes dropped). |
| Status mix | Counts of green (unchanged), yellow (changed), red (dropped). |
| Attrition | Share of last period’s members who dropped off this period (red ÷ prior members). |
| New / Reappeared | First-time members / members who returned after being absent. |
See the Glossary for exact status definitions.
Chargebacks this period
An amber banner — shown only when there are chargebacks. It reports the count and total clawed back (negative commission) for the period. Review chargebacks opens the Chargebacks page, which traces each clawback to the original payout. A chargeback is counted per policy, even if the member’s net commission stayed positive.
Statement quality
Flags carriers whose month-over-month movement looks abnormal — usually a sign a statement is incomplete or the wrong file was uploaded. Checked every period, per carrier:
- ✓ All statements normal — nothing unusual.
- Watch (amber) — movement looks unusual.
- Alert (rose) — mass fallout or an unexpected flood of new members.
Flagged carriers show the reason (e.g. “17% of members dropped”) and the dropped / new / present counts so you can sanity-check the upload before trusting the numbers.
Trend charts
- Commission at risk — month over month: the at-risk dollars over time, with the current value and the change vs the previous period (▲ red = worse, ▼ green = better). Hover any point for the exact amount and period.
- Attrition — month over month: the attrition rate over time, same interaction. Needs at least two loaded periods to draw a trend.
